We are seeking an enthusiastic dedicated and experienced KS1 Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Hendon starting as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Key Stage 1 and enjoys delivering engaging lessons that help children develop academically socially and emotionally in their formative years.

The Role
As a KS1 Teacher you will plan deliver and assess lessons across the Key Stage 1 curriculum. You will support pupils learning in literacy numeracy and foundation subjects while fostering independence confidence and positive learning behaviours. Working closely with teaching assistants colleagues and parents you will ensure that each pupil receives consistent personalised support tailored to their individual needs.
Monitoring pupil progress providing interventions where required and maintaining a positive inclusive classroom environment will be central to your role. You will also support pupils in their transition from EYFS to Key Stage 1 helping them consolidate foundational skills and build confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Plan deliver and assess high-quality lessons across KS1
Deliver engaging literacy numeracy and foundation subject lessons
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils including SEND and EAL
Promote independence confidence and positive learning behaviours
Maintain a structured inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
Track pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment records
Provide targeted interventions to support pupil attainment
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants colleagues and senior leaders
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress
Contribute to staff meetings CPD sessions and whole-school initiatives
Support enrichment activities school events and extra-curricular opportunities
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times
Who Were Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching Key Stage 1
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Be reflective adaptable and proactive
Show a strong commitment to inclusion safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
Work effectively as part of a professional and supportive team
