The Facilitator will maintain an effective classroom management implement the Ignite programme through facilitated sessions for participants and perform all required administration.
Required Skills:
Administration:
- Attend and participate in Ignite staff meetings.
- Maintain and update the asset register for all Ignite resources (tablets headsets etc.).
- Attend and participate in learning and sharing workshops.
- Issue administration forms to parents and guide accordingly.
- Submit and flag any issues concerning daily attendance registers to the Ignite Manager for approval to be sent to the data capturer.
- Monitor the attendance of learners to identify learners that have poor attendance investigate the reason and bring it to the attention of the Ignite manager for review for further intervention work or deregistration.
- Maintain good communication channels with Ignite parents.
- Maintain and promote learners academic performance through the collection and analysis of school progress reports and provide support where needed.
- Submit monthly reports to the Ignite manager.
- Submit a report of weekly highlights and challenges to the Ignite manager.
- Escalate learner related matters to the Ignite manager timeously in line with proper procedures.
Programme Implementation:
- Deliver on grade-specific programme outcomes.
- Adequately prepare for facilitated sessions and ensure that all resources are in place ahead of the arrival of the participants.
- Proactively discern potential learning-related or socio-emotional challenges within the cohort and remediate where unable escalate to the manager.
- Monitor completed lessons by the learners on learning management system (LMS) timeously.
- Support and assist on weekend activities as and when required.
- Conduct the Base-line and End-line assessments.
Classroom management:
- Promote learning in a welcoming classroom that maintains discipline.
- Roll out a programme of the day and provide homework support.
- Exhibit zeal and confidence in order to bolster attendees participation.
- Steer conversations about learning content among participants.
- Maintain a clean and conducive learning environment.
- Administer and review progress on assessments.
- Keep record of and account for all learning resources and assets used.
