How do you excel in this position

The Building Automation Technician II is responsible for troubleshooting analyzing testing adjusting and repairing building automation systems support owner/user training in commercial facilities. We are looking for an individual that can demonstrate an aptitude for problem solving time management and balancing competing priorities while keeping customer satisfaction and business impact in mind.

What are we looking for:

  • Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Electronics Electrical Engineering or Information Technology required. Bachelors degree preferred.
  • At least seven (7) years experience with mechanical and/or electrical engineering systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction or HVAC industry control theory automatic temperature controls fire alarms building automation systems and other building subsystems.
  • Demonstrated experience in the integration of low voltage building sub-systems using various industry protocols (i.e. LON BacNet etc).
  • Knowledge of HVAC&R theory solid mechanical electrical troubleshooting and repair skills a plus.
  • Must have or be able to obtain 10-hour OSHA certification. 30-hour OSHA is a plus.
  • Be highly motivated and an independent thinker.
  • Ability to mentor level I Integration Specialists.
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast pace setting and adapt/be flexible in a changing environment.
  • Ability to multi-task work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with handheld devices such as Smartphones iPads etc.
  • Ability to communicate with customers and coworkers regarding inspection and service findings is required.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Travel required. Must be able to travel to job sites 100% of the time. Also included is travel to manufacturers for training and office meetings.

The advertised compensation range for this position represents what we believe at the time of posting to be competitive and acceptable by reviewing comprehensive market data to include industry and roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the range wage will be determined by several factors including candidate knowledge job-related skills experience and relevant education or training.

*This position has a base rate and it is eligible for relevant prevailing wage.
