Access Control (AC) is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the fabrication (FAB) facility by controlling access to restricted areas. This role ensures that personnel contractors visitors are permitted entry into the facility in accordance with established protocols.
Position Type: This position is a TEMPORARY 8 WEEK PROJECT
Requirements:
OSHA-10 certification required before start date
Candidates must understand the working construction environment
Monitor and regulate approved access points to the FAB to ensure secure and authorized entry.
Enforce proper sign-in/sign-out protocols for employees contractors and visitors.
Work closely with facility and operations teams to facilitate smooth entry and exit without disrupting production.
Ensure all personnel adhere to cleanliness and protective clothing requirements including mandatory use of shoe covers and designated garments in controlled areas.
Apply these standards consistently throughout all construction and operational stages to uphold safety and prevent contamination.
Observe adherence to access control policies and promptly report violations to management.
Track inventory of protective gear and replenish stock as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and order within access control stations and their surrounding perimeter by performing routine sweeping mopping emptying trash receptacles and replacing liners as needed to ensure a professional and hygienic environment.
Uphold company safety protocols and comply with relevant industry and regulatory standards.
To ensure employees are physically capable of performing essential duties safely and effectively all Access Control personnel must meet the following physical standards:
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods (up to 810 hours per shift).
Ability to climb and descend stairs multiple times per day without assistance.
Ability to lift carry push or pull up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds with proper technique.
Ability to bend kneel reach and work in confined or awkward spaces as needed.
Ability to maintain alertness and mobility while performing rounds or inspection walks throughout large facility areas.
Must be able to perform moderate physical activity continuously in indoor and semi-industrial environments (including variable temperatures).
Must have sufficient vision hearing and coordination to observe entry points operate access equipment and communicate effectively.
Wear protective gear or respiratory equipment when required.
VEHICLE OPERATION
To operate a vehicle at the customers site employees must obtain an ABM drivers permit per the ABM Drivers Safety MVR registration program. This policy checks for a valid State ID along with a citation background check and those with high risk driving habits will need additional driver education in order to obtain the permit. Employees who operate company vehicles must consistently meet the requirements of the Facility Vehicle Safety Program.
