We are seeking a Control Engineer with solid experience in industrial automation and SIEMENS PLC programming to participate in the design development commissioning and optimization of control systems for industrial machinery and/or automated production lines. The selected candidate will work on technically demanding projects collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical electrical process engineering) and acting as a technical reference for control systems from the design phase through on-site commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define control architectures (PLC HMI safety systems drives etc.) and industrial communications (Profinet Profibus etc.).
- Participate in the definition of functional requirements and preparation of technical specifications.
- Program and configure PLC HMI and SCADA systems.
- Perform simulations FAT and SAT tests as well as on-site commissioning.
- Diagnose and resolve control communication and machine operation issues.
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to ensure optimal system integration.
- Document developed software (manuals I/O lists functional descriptions).
- Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle and when required to the end customer
Qualifications :
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Automation Electronics Industrial Control or similar).
- Experience of 7 years in SIEMENS PLC programming with knowledge of TIA Portal STEP 7 and WinCC.
- Knowledge of frequency converters servo drives and basic safety systems.
- Experience in commissioning industrial systems.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Flexibility and a proactive attitude to learn new systems (OpCon Nexeed Allen Bradley etc.) technologies and automation environments.
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and international environments.
- Willingness to travel according to project needs (50-60%). Mainly domestic travel and some international travel.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in supporting quotes and concept for special-purpose machinery assembly lines or the automotive industry.
- Previous experience in SIEMENS programming for the VM Steering division.
- TEF(Enginering Area)
- Knowledge of industrial robotics (ABB FANUC KUKA etc.).
- Experience with industrial and safety standards (CE ISO IEC).
- Experience working in international environments and with customers (internal and external).
- Languages: German and/or Spanish are a plus
