This role is ideal for a Mechanical Engineer who enjoys problem-solving technical investigation and applying engineering principles to real-world challenges in a demanding industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Compile detailed engineering and technical reports including investigations into product wear performance concerns and failure analysis
- Conduct technical assessments and provide root-cause findings and recommendations
- Make practical suggestions to improve product performance reliability and lifespan
- Perform engineering calculations
- Support internal teams and customers with technical guidance and application support
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives based on field and performance feedback
- BEng / BSc / BTech in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Exposure to mining heavy industrial or mechanical equipment environments
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering calculations
- Ability to interpret technical data and compile professional reports
- Experience in technical reporting failure investigations or applications engineering
- Good communication skills and the ability to present technical findings clearly
- Strong attention to detail and a structured analytical approach
- Proficiency in MS Excel and engineering calculation tools
