Job Summary
Job Title: Senior Project Engineer
Location: Rivonia
Job Type: 12 month contract expected to work Full-Time hours
Job Duties:
1. Planning & Coordination
Assist in defining project scope objectives and deliverables
Develop project schedules and timelines
Coordinate between different disciplines (civil mechanical electrical etc.)
2. Technical Oversight
Review engineering designs drawings and specifications
Ensure compliance with standards and regulations
Provide technical guidance to the project team
3. Project Execution
Monitor progress against the plan
Ensure resources (labour materials equipment) are available
Troubleshoot technical issues on-site or during execution
4. Cost & Budget Control
Assist with budgeting and cost estimates
Track project costs and identify variances
Support procurement and contract administration
5. Quality & Compliance
Ensure work meets quality standards and specifications
Implement quality control processes
Ensure adherence to safety regulations and environmental requirements
6. Communication & Reporting
Liaise with clients contractors and stakeholders
Prepare progress reports and updates
Participate in meetings and provide technical input
7. Risk Management
Identify potential risks and delays
Develop mitigation strategies
Ensure issues are resolved quickly to avoid impact on schedule/cost
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Chemical Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
10 years experience in mineral processing within EPCM / engineering consulting projects
Strong knowledge of process plant design and project execution.
Experience with feasibility studies detailed design and plant commissioning.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
