We are seeking an experienced senior manager in corporate communications to lead communications public relations and issues management across Brazil and priority markets in Latin America (LATAM). This is a highprofile role within Pearsons global corporate communications team responsible for building protecting and advancing the companys reputation across a dynamic region.
As the principal communications leader for LATAM you will design and deliver an integrated communications programme that aligns local commercial priorities with global strategy. You will strengthen Pearsons reputation deepen stakeholder engagement and ensure our voice across the region is clear consistent and impactful.
We are looking for a vibrant storyteller who can engage audiences across complex markets balancing longterm strategic vision with daytoday execution. This role requires a collaborative influential communicator who can navigate ambiguity drive change and elevate Pearsons presence in the region.
Responsibilities:
Serve as senior communications advisor to regional leaders providing counsel on media strategy executive positioning thought leadership and crisis management.
Drive external media relations proactive storytelling campaigns including advising on influencer programmes and thought leadership campaigns.
- Partner closely with the LATAM CEO developing strategic content such as speeches opeds press releases and social media campaigns.
Navigate sensitive issues with speed and judgment ensuring consistency of message and protection of Pearsons reputation.
Oversee the LATAM agency of record ensuring strong performance and clear return on investment.
Actively collaborate with global and functional teams to align regional efforts with broader business priorities.
Support internal communications initiatives that align employees with Pearsons strategy and culture.
What You Bring:
7 years of progressive experience in corporate communications executive communications and issue management.
- Strong understanding of the LATAM media landscape and regional stakeholder dynamics.
- Proven track record of developing and executing highimpact communications campaigns.
- Credibility and confidence in counselling senior leaders.
Exceptional writing and editing skills across multiple formats.
Experience managing crisis communications change initiatives and complex stakeholder environments.
- Highly collaborative mindset with the ability to lead through influence and build trusted crossfunctional relationships.
Comfortable operating in a global fast-paced and highly dynamic environment.
Data-driven and agile able to anticipate external trends and adapt communications strategies accordingly.
High levels of professionalism resilience and integrity.
Fluent in both English and Brazilian Portuguese.
