Job Summary
We are seeking a Printer Field Technician to support installation maintenance and repair of commercial printing and imaging equipment at customer locations. This role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills the ability to work independently in the field and a customer-focused mindset.
Technicians will service a variety of equipment including wide format printers inkjet and dye-sublimation systems dry inkjet mini labs kiosks controllers and related infrastructure. This is a field-based role with extensive regional travel.
Responsibilities
Diagnose repair and maintain commercial printers and imaging equipment
Service wide format inkjet dye-sublimation and dry inkjet systems
Install and support equipment and related infrastructure at customer sites
Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs
Troubleshoot hardware and system issues under time constraints
Communicate professionally with customers and internal support teams
Maintain accurate service documentation and expense reporting
Lead or support helper technicians when assigned
Travel extensively within assigned territory (up to 95%)
Work flexible schedules including nights and weekends as required
Follow all safety compliance and professionalism standards

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
2 years of printer service and repair experience
2 years of field service or installation experience
Experience with inkjet and dye-sublimation technologies
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Ability to pass background check MVR and drug screening
Ability to obtain required safety certifications (including aerial lift)
Physical Requirements
Lift and carry equipment up to 60 lbs
Stand and walk for extended periods
Climb ladders and work at elevated heights
Perform bending crouching kneeling and crawling
Work in confined spaces when required
Use hand tools with precision and coordination

Qualifications Education and Experience: Minimum High School Diploma/GED. Minimum 2 years of experience in printer service/repair (inkjet and dye-sublimation required). Minimum 2 years in field services installation or similar technical background. Strong troubleshooting critical thinking and customer service skills. Familiarity with basic hand tools. Ability to work independently and in a team. Valid drivers license reliable transportation and ability to pass background check motor vehicle report and drug screening. Able to obtain certifications required for aerial lifts. Physical Requirements: Frequently lift and carry tools equipment and materials weighing up to 60lbs. Navigate uneven terrain safely and efficiently. Push pull and reach for objects with varying degrees of force including overhead tasks. Stand or walk for extended periods of time. Perform repetitive tasks as required by the role. Climb ladders work at elevated heights and maintain balance. Work in confined spaces when necessary. Assume various physical positions including standing bending crouching crawling or kneeling. Maintain hand-eye coordination to use small tools effectively and components.
