North Star Montessori Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Lower Elementary Teacher (Grades 1-3) to join our collaborative and child-centered school community.

Position Overview
The Lower Elementary Teacher is responsible for guiding students in grades 1-3 through a supportive engaging and developmentally appropriate learning environment aligned with Montessori principles and state standards.
Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain a prepared Montessori classroom environment that supports independence and engagement
Plan and deliver instruction in reading writing math and integrated subject areas
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
Use formative assessments and progress monitoring tools (including NWEA data) to inform instruction
Foster a positive classroom culture focused on respect responsibility and growth
Communicate regularly and effectively with families
Collaborate with colleagues support staff and administration
Support students social-emotional development and executive functioning skills
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Education or related field (required)
Valid teaching license (required)
Montessori certification (preferred but not required; willingness to pursue Montessori training encouraged)
Experience working with lower elementary-aged students
Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
Growth mindset and commitment to continuous professional learning
