ChristianaCare is looking for aMedical Assistant I for our UroGyn office in Newark DE.

Urogynecology is a specialized field focused on diagnosing and treating pelvic floor disorders affecting the bladder uterus vagina and rectum. Our boardcertified physicians the only urogynecologists in Delaware certified in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgeryprovide comprehensive care using physical therapy medications and surgical options ranging from minimally invasive to complex procedures. Patients may also have access to clinical research trials and innovative treatments

As aMedical Assistant I you will assist physicians during the examination and treatment of patients whether through virtual or on-site appointments. This role is crucial for delivering quality patient care and encompasses various clinical and clerical duties within the medical practice.

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8:00am- 4:30pm

Duties / Responsibilities:
AMedical Assistant Irole encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at providing patient care and administrative support within a healthcare practice. Key duties include greeting and assisting patients both virtually and on-site rooming patients and preparing them for visits by taking and recording vital signs. TheMedical Assistant Iperforms point of care testing administers injections and medications and conducts EKGs when needed. Support for clinicians during examinations and procedures is critical and this includes preparing treatment rooms with essential supplies completing patient-specific paperwork and ensuring that electronic medical records (EMR) are up to date with relevant test results for subsequent visits. TheMedical Assistant Ihandles patient callbacks with information as directed by providers and follows state guidelines for the sterilization of medical equipment. TheMedical Assistant Imanages prior authorizations referrals and medication refills schedules tests and surgeries and performs quality control on point of care testing equipment. TheMedical Assistant Ioffer documentation assistance during provider examinations and procedures undertake clerical tasks as assigned by supervisors troubleshoot issues with video visits and help patients utilize ChristianaCares Patient Portal. Safety is paramount as theMedical Assistant Iis responsible for working safely adhering to departmental safety rules and promptly reporting any unsafe conditions or violations that could potentially harm patients staff or visitors.

Education Requirements:

High School Graduate or GED required.
A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Hourly Pay Range: $19.10 - $27.69

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCares good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills relevant experience and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
