Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort Port Douglas is proudly part of the Marriott International group. This iconic Resort is situated between the renowned Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest in Tropical North Queensland. The resort comprises of 295 guest rooms suites and villas.
Working within our friendly and professional Reservations Department this position reports directly to the Reservations Manager.
The Role
- Handle Guest Requests and Drive Sales.
- Maintain & Validate Reservation Data.
- Maintain System Balancing & Control Revenue Loss.
- To work as and where directed by the Reservations Manager.
- Attend and/or complete all required Trainings & Meetings as and when required.
- Seven-day availability and roster flexibility.
- To always communicate any problems or issues regardless of the severity to the Reservations Manager and maintain a high level of communication within the department regarding relevant inter-department associates and guests.
- Complete the daily checklist in an accurate & efficient manner and effectively communicate any incomplete or follow-up tasks to the next shift and/or the Reservations Manager.
- A positive can-do working style
- A flexible approach with the ability to identify and successfully implement new initiatives and problem-solving solutions
- A collaborative and open communication style
- 12 months working in a similar role
- Experience in a Hotel or Travel Agency is desirable
- Have valid rights to work in Australia
