Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Clinical Nutrition Manager the Dietitian is responsible for providing basic nutrition assessments and care planning for patients and residents. Implements business practices in order to uphold company mission and values. Contributes to account revenue and operating profit contribution through the implementation of services.
Job Function:
Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction for nutrition assessments and care planning of patients.
Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining highest level of delivery.
Directs nutrition care of patients with basic nutrition needs including screening assessment and care planning to ensure patient nutrition needs & customer satisfaction levels are met.
Educates medical staff and counsels patients and their families on proper nutritional care.
Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes nutrition care special diets and menu requests.
Stays current with most recent nutrition-related trends research policy certifications and standards of practice.
Ensures compliance with all federal state and local regulations as well as policies and procedures.
Establishes operating standards implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments.
Required:
Bachelors Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics from an accredited college or university
Kentucky Dietitian License
Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
