This position is in our Ag & Trading enterprise where we connect producers and users of grains and oilseeds around the globe through origination trading processing and distribution. We also offer a range of farmer services and risk management solutions.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Trade Execution and Contract Coordinator will execute moderately complex trade execution activities for various agricultural this role you will coordinate import and export processes and maintain consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely execution of designated flows.

Key Accountabilities

Prepare long-form purchase and sales contracts based on business confirmations within set deadlines to ensure clauses are fully understood executable and compliant with internal legal and fiscal requirements.
Work with commercial teams to optimize contract wording and execution to meet customers requirements.
Manage end-to-end execution of shipments in full compliance with agreed contract terms: sending contractual notices coordinating loading and discharge operations with internal and external stakeholders issuing bank guarantees and LOIs ensuring quality compliance facilitating finalization of laytime calculations.
Prepare documentary instructions issue contractual documents and manage their presentation for payment including negotiation under letters of credit.
Ensure compliance with sustainability and Swiss/European VAT procedures for applicable flows.
Maintain and foster strong relationships with customers suppliers and various business partners including supervision companies agents laboratories legal finance insurance and shipping departments as well as Cargill offices worldwide.
Perform general administrative tasks related to trade execution activities (processing invoices maintaining accurate and timely shipment records).
Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision while escalating more complex matters to the appropriate staff; manage claims.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3 years of related work experience in contract drafting and execution of agricultural commodities. Experience with Middle East and Africa regions is a plus.
Reliable self-motivated able to work independently with strong attention to detail organization analytical capability and communication skills.
Understanding of supply chain activities and Incoterms.
Knowledge of payment instruments and applicable governing terms (e.g. UCP 600 URDG 758 URC 522).
Working knowledge of shipping documents used in international trade
Working knowledge of contract law and terms governing international trade of grains vegoils oilseeds (notably GAFTA and FOSFA contracts).
Fluent English and French Arabic is considered a plus.
