Job Summary

Position Responsibilities:

Teach students specific skills and strategies to help them access curriculum.
Conduct IEP meetings and complete all related paperwork in a timely fashion.
Monitor student progress; revise IEP according to progress.
Co-teach in regular education content area or teach substantially separate subject.
Prepare students for transition to post-high school life.
Communicate with school personnel outside of the department.
Communicate effectively with parents and other stakeholders.

Job Qualifications:

Attendance at departmental and school-wide meetings.
Requisite licensure as defined by the DESE and SEI Endorsement.
Experience implementing all parts of the IEP process.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
A strong commitment to helping a wide variety of culturally diverse students achieve their full potential.
Ability to support the development of culturally responsive programs and activities that promote student engagement family engagement community involvement and a positive school climate.

Reports to:Building Principal and/or Department Head
