Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end crewing operations for assigned vessels ensuring safe manning and compliance at all times.
- Plan coordinate and execute crew change schedules in line with vessel operations budgets and voyage plans.
- Ensure full compliance with MLC 2006 STCW flag state and company policies.
- Oversee recruitment selection and deployment of seafarers including interviews assessments and approvals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date crew records certifications medicals and contract documentation.
- Manage crew performance welfare discipline and grievance matters in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate training competency development and career progression plans for officers and ratings.
- Control crewing budgets manning costs and agency fees; monitor cost efficiency and reporting.
- Liaise closely with ship managers technical teams manning agents flag states and maritime authorities.
- Support audits inspections and incident investigations related to crewing and manpower matters.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies Nautical Science Marine Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 58 years of relevant experience in ship crewing or fleet personnel management.
- Strong working knowledge of MLC 2006 STCW flag state and port state requirements.
- Excellent communication coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Detail-oriented well-organised and able to manage multiple vessels and priorities under pressure.
