Job Summary
The Public Health Educator is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating health education programs that promote healthy behaviors and improve community health outcomes. The role involves community engagement, health awareness campaigns, and collaboration with stakeholders to address public health challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver health education programs on topics such as disease prevention, hygiene, nutrition, reproductive health, and mental health
Conduct community outreach, workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns
Assess community health needs and develop appropriate educational materials
Provide accurate health information to individuals, groups, and communities
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, NGOs, schools, and government agencies
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health education programs
Maintain records, reports, and documentation of activities
Advocate for healthy lifestyles and positive behavior change
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Education, Community Health, or a related field
Strong communication and presentation skills
Knowledge of public health principles and health promotion strategies
Ability to work with diverse populations and communities
Experience in community health education is an advantage
