What youll be doing

Simplii Bank is an internet bank that integrates financial services through a network of partners. Simplii Bank offers Clients a better way to do their banking by offering no-fee day-to-day banking great rates and superior service. Clients can save time by doing their banking through a variety of channels - Internet phone or bank machine.

In this position you will be responsible for gathering analyzing interpreting and documenting comprehensive details and statistical data on Simplii clients utilizing NPS and client review surveys. You will provide expert guidance to colleagues by delivering accurate and insightful business information. Your responsibilities include developing and presenting recommendations supported by relevant statistics to drive revenue growth reduce costs and enhance both the client experience and key business initiatives.

You will conduct in-depth analyses and formulate actionable recommendations aimed at increasing revenue and optimizing cost efficiencies. Through client journey mapping you will identify potential constraints or issues that could impact project outcomes or account procedures and proactively recommend solutions to improve existing programs processes procedures and products.

Additionally you will prepare and deliver presentations that communicate findings conclusions and recommendations to senior management. Your contributions will extend to supporting other business cases and initiatives as well as preparing detailed reports for multiple channels to inform strategic decision-making.

How youll succeed

  • Strategic Thinking and Thought Leadership- Required to provide expert level thought leadership on client experience through use of best practices and methodologies (e.g. Journey Mapping Service Design etc.) to ensure the desired end-to-end experience is executed. Tasks may include designing experiences and/or identifying and drawing linkages to multiple initiatives to ensure a well thought through mitigation plan is in place for client impact. This role requires you to be up to date with industry trends and thinking around client experience in the banking finance and other industries.
  • Analysis- You will be required to take a data-driven approach and analyze and draw key insights from enterprise data (client performance and operational) processes documents and technologies to identify gaps to desired strategy and to provide solutions and recommendations based on your analysis.
  • Relationship Building- You are required to liaise with functional groups across CIBC to negotiate and influence business partners to ensure alignment of initiatives / solutions and individual deliverables across dependent client experience initiatives.
  • Communication - you are a content champion who can help our teams and partners understand how our words shape the client and employee experience. Your writing skills include precise articulation of ideas and opinions that support the development of business proposals and presentations.
  • Deliver with Speed - You understand and support agile innovation and change making sure were delivering on time within scope and budget and are future-proofed. You can manage multiple priorities at the same time and iterate effectively.

Who you are

  • Availability to work on a full-time basis for the entirety of the 8-month work term (May 2026 - December 2026)
  • Detailed working knowledge of the practices procedures and principles of Simplii Bank
  • Strong working knowledge of computer applications (e.g. Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint) sufficient to create spreadsheets reports tables graphs and databases
  • Developed interactive skills sufficient to convey factual information on issues
  • Developed writing skills sufficient to prepare written materials involving detailed explanations
  • Self-planning skills sufficient to schedule organize to carry out work assignments and adjusting work schedules according to changing priorities
  • Judgment and problem solving skills sufficient to interpret detailed and factual information
