What youll be doing
As a Procurement Associate Co-op Student you will be responsible for assisting with communication with suppliers and assembling CIBCs supplier contracts. You will learn how to balance risks and requirements while gaining insight into CIBCs third-party supplier risk management process. You will be trained to assemble lower-risk contracts using CIBCs models and templates. You will also be asked to create analytics and reporting. Youll be asking questions and engaging with suppliers and colleagues from CIBCs internal business units. Attention to detail is key as is the ability to see situations from others perspectives.
We are looking for someone interested in contracts and eager to learn about managing risk. You may be considering a future in law or business management.
Additionally you will become a member of our coveted Solutions Lab where you will work as part of a team to bring new perspectives to existing CIBC challenges and help suggest and implement solutions that will directly benefit CIBCs Procurement team.
