About the role

Our Residential Respite Booking Officers are responsible for facilitating carer access to residential respite beds. The role involves various responsibilities including:

  • Receive booking requests from carers and identify their needs
  • Confirm ACAT assessment or refer if not completed
  • Confirm availability of beds and arrange bookings
  • Confirm booking details with carers and facilities
  • Liaise with facilities to identify bed availability
  • Maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Support the broader team as required

About you

We are looking for:

  • Demonstrated previous experience in a client service delivery role
  • Knowledge of the community services sector including the challenges faced by family and friend carers
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and to relate and work effectively with a wide range of individuals and communities
  • Organisational and interpersonal skills such as negotiation problem-solving and effective time management
  • Ability to exercise initiative discretion and judgement where appropriate
  • Strong computer literacy and the ability to learn new IT systems and skills
