WHAT YOU WILL DO:

You are the engine room of the companys logistics. Your precision ensures that the service department operates without delay.

  • Precision Sourcing: Identify marine and mechanical parts using complex diagrams catalogues and online supplier systems to ensure compatibility and reduce errors.
  • Inventory Command: Maintain accurate stock records in the management system tracking received parts backorders and special orders with zero-error data entry.
  • Technician Support: Act as the go-to for the service team by locating staging and preparing required parts for active work orders to support efficient job execution.
  • Vendor Relations: Communicate professionally with suppliers regarding availability and delivery timelines relaying critical ETA updates to the Service and Parts Managers.
  • Departmental Standards: maintain a professional safety-focused and highly organized parts storage area where every component is clearly labelled and stored logically.


THE EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES YOU BRING:

You are organized reliable and eager to learn. You treat parts and inventory with the same care as the vessels they go into.

  • Technical Mindset: While extensive experience isnt required you must possess a technical aptitude. You understand the difference between an O-ring and a filter and can navigate technical manuals.
  • Educational Background: A recent graduate from a technical program is highly preferred and/or a candidate with a strong desire to apprentice in the future.
  • Digital Proficiency: Strong computer skills are non-negotiable. You must be comfortable using inventory software Excel and Outlook to manage data and communication.
  • Organizational Mastery: You have excellent multitasking abilities and an eye for detail ensuring the parts department remains efficient and clutter-free.
  • Communication Skills: You are a clear communicator who can collaborate respectfully with technicians managers and vendors in a fast-paced environment.
