JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Asset Management team sits within Investments working alongside Portfolio Management and the Transactions team. The key function of the Asset Management team is to execute the asset level investment strategies across both Multifamily and Student Accommodation sectors delivering performance targets in line with the Business Plan.
The Manager plays a lead role in the operational implementation of Greystars investment strategies. This role supports the development and implementation of business plans and practices that achieve investment and operating goals of the portfolio.

Key Role Responsibilities
- Monitor and oversee individual investmentsandoverallportfolio performance critically evaluating existing real estate operations and business plan execution toidentifynew strategies to drive NOI and maximize returns across the portfolio.
- Partners with Operationsto deliverkey performance metrics to achieve the business plan includingleasing performancerevenue andexpensemanagementand impacttoasset returns.
- Leads compilation of annual operational and capital budgets and business plans for senior management and capitalpartnersreview.
- Participateswith the Companys senior leaders in routine market review discussions to examine the overall operational and financial results for the asset portfolios present and justify business plans andmakesstrategy recommendations.
- Activelyparticipatesin major capitalization initiativesacquisitionsand dispositions.
- Maintainsanddevelopa broad network ofindustry related resources to support the execution and growth of theorganization.
- Leadsand manage team members; interviewinghiring on boarding and developing direct reports and other team members asappropriateand managing their performancein accordance withCompany policies values and business practices.
- Completes various financial accounting administrative and other reports and analysis and performs other duties as assigned or as necessary.
Role Scope
- Based in ourFrankfurtGermanyofficethe role will initiallybe responsible forportfolios/assetsintheDACH regionwith exposure to our flagship Pan-European Fund.
- The post holder will have the opportunity to influence strategies of the Companys investment projects in thegrowingDACHregion.
- The incumbent must develop a deep understanding of GreystarsCentral Europeoperations as well as building relationships with UK EU and US leadershipand Portfolio Management teams.
Knowledge & Qualifications
- Educated to adegreelevel or equivalentina relevant subject such as realestatebusiness orfinance and/or equivalent experience.
- MBA in real estatebusinessor financeMRICS or similar professional accreditationare desirable but not essential.
- IT literate and fully conversant with all Microsoft packages includingExcel (Advanced level) andPowerPoint (Advanced level).
- General understandingof/interest instudent/multifamily housing.
- Fluent in German andEnglish speaking/reading/writing.
Essential:
- Demonstrable senior levelexperience working in a similar investmentassetor portfoliomanagement role.
- Demonstrable real estate experience (essential)withinGermanyand internationally (preferred)
- Strong understanding of real estate and debt markets; and of standard terms and structures of deal capital.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills along with the ability toquickly interpret complex written and financial data.
- Commercially focused and able to apply sound business principals.
- Demonstrated management and leadership skills and sufficient to recruit lead and manage team members to achieve high performance.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability toestablishand maintain positive relationships and act with impact and influence at all levels.
- Strong written communicationskills;including the ability to articulate and discuss fund/portfolio and underlying investment and the ability to effectively write and present concise business presentations and investment reviews.
- Strongorganisationaland project managementskills to juggle complex tasks and manage the workload of others with the ability to work effectively under pressure to deadlines and work flexibly in change environment andwithin a dynamic real estate investment and asset management environment.
- Self-motivated and proactive both with respect to managing workload and own professional development
- Relevant experience inthe student accommodation residential or hotel sectors.
- Offshore and corporate transactional experience.
