Position Overview
The HelpDesk Technician willbe responsible forproviding technicalassistanceand support to our staff ensuring smooth and efficient operation of computer systems software and hardware with an understanding of AEC industry-specific software and tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users for hardware software network and other IT-related issues at all locations.
- Maintain Windows server and desktop operation system infrastructure
- Assistin the installation configuration and maintenance of computer hardware software and peripherals.
- Maintainaccuraterecords of issues and resolutions in the helpdesk ticketing system.
- Collaborate with IT team members toidentifyand implement solutions to improve system performance and user experience.
- Conduct regular system updates backups and routine maintenance tasks.
- Support AEC-specific software applications such as AutoCAD otherdesignand project management tools.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on the use of computer systems and software.
- Assistin the management of user accounts permissions and access rights.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures.
- Assistnew hires with orientation and office setup.
Skills Experience
- Associate or bachelors degree in information technology Computer Science a related field or equivalent experience
- Previousexperience in a helpdesk or technical support rolepreferred
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating system and Office 365
- Familiarity with Azure and MS Defender environments
- Familiarity with AEC industry software such as AutoCAD otherdesignand project management tools.
- Experience with network troubleshooting and support
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communicationand interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Certification in CompTIA A Network or relevant certifications is a plus
Work Environment Physical Demands
The characteristics described below are representative of thoseencounteredwhile performing the essential functions of this position. When properly requested and whenfeasible(without undue hardship to thecompany) reasonableaccommodationswill be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
- Work will primarily be in an office setting with limited exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
- Workwill beprimarilyworkingwith fingers by picking pinching typing and grasping often with repetitive motion.
- Must have visual acuity for viewing a computer screen the ability to talkhearand sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to carry lift and push/pull up to 5 poundsfrequentlyand up to50pounds occasionally.
- Weekend and overtime and/or overnight work and travel may berequired.
- Additionalphysical duties may berequiredas necessary.
