Job Summary
Durango School District 9-R is accepting applications for a Long Term Substitute Wood Tech and Maker Space Teacherat Miller Middle School for the Spring Semester of the 25/26 school year. This position will begin approximately March 1 2026 and run through the end of the school year May 26 2026.
A Colorado substitute authorization orteaching license is required. Experience in the areas of Woodshop Tech and Maker Space prefered.
The rate for long-term substitutingis $265 per day.
Requirements include:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education teaching license. A 3- or 5-year Colorado substitute authorization may also accepted for a candidate with demonstrated Math proficiency as outlined above. - Experience working with students in a classroom setting strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communication basic language basic math and basicwriting skills.
- Minimum of two professional or academic references; family/friends are not categorized as professional or academic references.
