Job Summary
At ING we are looking for a Corporate Finance Analyst
Your role and work environment:
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Analyst to join our Corporate Finance Team in Wholesale Banking.
The responsibility of this team is to lead the origination and execution of advisory transactions in the context of relevant corporate events such as acquisitions disposals refinancings restructurings or IPOs.
In line with INGs strategy we are looking to grow further our Corporate Finance franchise in Madrid. Priority sectors are Renewables TMT Financial Sponsors and Food & Beverage.
While there is a preference for Spanish-speaking talent ING is open to recruiting the best European talent willing to relocate permanently to Madrid.
Geographical focus of the new hires will be EMEA.
Your key responsibilities:
As part of a larger transaction team the Analyst will play the following relevant roles:
Marketing efforts including: (a) drafting marketing materials including company profiles pitch books and presentations; (b) perform detailed financial analysis of target companies including valuation; and (c) market research and competitor analysis.
Deal execution including: (a) valuation techniques (financial modelling comparables WACC) and financial analysis; (b) key transaction administration (data room Q&A meeting coordination etc.); (c) day-to-day process coordination and communication with clients and other advisers; (d) assisting in the drafting of transaction documentation; (e) support on the processing of documents for internal project approvals; and (f) lead post-closing internal administrative tasks.
Other: monitoring sector information and collection of market data and dynamics. General support of the senior team. Guiding interns and helping other junior analysts as appropriate.

- Ideally 2 to 3 years of professional experience in M&A or Debt Advisory transaction advisory services or other similar advisory roles in Corporate Finance.
- Ability to initiate detailed financial and business analysis and full understanding of process and materials general requirements required in M&A transactions.
- Basic financial valuation and modelling skills (DCF Precedents comps).
- Genuine interest in Corporate Finance and have the ability to earn trust and respect of clients colleagues and senior management.
- Previous international professional experience will be valued.
- Proven track record in sector such as Renewables TMT Food & Beverage or Financial Sponsors will be considered.
- Fluent in English spoken and written. Other languages will be a plus. Strong communication skills.
- Degree in Business Administration Finance Engineering or other similar education which comprises financial and numerical knowledge.
- Other: (i) hard worker with ability to drive multiple activities in parallel; (ii) attention to detail and delivery of top-quality documents; (iii) ability to work collaboratively across functions (team player); and (iv) enthusiasm and ambition to learn.

Estamos buscando a una persona con talento y entusiasmo para unirse al equipo de Corporate Finance dentro de Wholesale Banking.
La responsabilidad de este equipo es liderar la originación y ejecución de transacciones de asesoramiento en el contexto de eventos corporativos relevantes como adquisiciones desinversiones refinanciaciones reestructuraciones o IPOs.
En línea con la estrategia de ING buscamos seguir desarrollando nuestra franquicia de Corporate Finance en Madrid. Los sectores prioritarios son Renewables TMT Financial Sponsors y Food & Beverage.
Aunque existe una preferencia por talento hispanohablante ING está abierto a incorporar al mejor talento europeo dispuesto a trasladarse de forma permanente a Madrid.
El foco geográfico de las nuevas incorporaciones será EMEA.
Tus responsabilidades principales
Como parte de un equipo de transacciones más amplio la persona en el rol de Analyst asumirá las siguientes funciones:
Marketing
- Elaboración de materiales de marketing incluyendo perfiles corporativos pitch books y presentaciones.
- Análisis financiero detallado de compañías objetivo incluyendo valoración.
- Investigación de mercado y análisis de competidores.
Ejecución de transacciones
- Aplicación de técnicas de valoración (financial modelling comparables WACC) y análisis financiero.
- Administración clave de la transacción (data room Q&A coordinación de reuniones etc.).
- Coordinación diaria del proceso y comunicación con clientes y otras personas asesores.
- Apoyo en la redacción de documentación de la transacción.
- Soporte en la tramitación de documentos para aprobaciones internas de proyectos.
- Liderar tareas administrativas internas posteriores al cierre.
Otras funciones
- Seguimiento de información sectorial y recopilación de datos y dinámicas de mercado.
- Apoyo general al equipo sénior.
- Acompañamiento y guía a personas internas y Analysts más junior cuando corresponda.
Qué buscamos

- Idealmente entre 2 y 3 años de experiencia profesional en M&A o Debt Advisory servicios de asesoramiento en transacciones u otros roles similares de asesoría en Corporate Finance.
- Capacidad para iniciar análisis financieros y de negocio detallados y comprensión integral de los requisitos generales de procesos y materiales en transacciones de M&A.
- Conocimientos básicos en valoración y modelling financiero (DCF Precedents comps).
- Interés genuino por Corporate Finance y capacidad para generar confianza y credibilidad con clientela colegas y senior management.
- Se valorará experiencia profesional internacional previa.
- Se considerará experiencia demostrada en sectores como Renewables TMT Food & Beverage o Financial Sponsors.
- Inglés fluido hablado y escrito; otros idiomas serán un plus. Habilidades sólidas de comunicación.
- Titulación en Administración de Empresas Finanzas Ingeniería u otra formación similar que incluya conocimientos financieros y numéricos.
- Otros aspectos:
- Alta capacidad de trabajo y habilidad para gestionar múltiples actividades en paralelo.
- Atención al detalle y entrega de documentación de la máxima calidad.
- Capacidad para trabajar de manera colaborativa entre distintas funciones (team player).
- Entusiasmo y ambición por aprender.
