Medical Assistant Instructor

The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Medical Assistant Instructor to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on training guidance and mentorship to students pursuing a career as a Medical Assistant. This role involves delivering high-quality instruction preparing lesson plans assessing student progress and ensuring students are prepared for certification and real-world work environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lectures and hands-on training in medical assisting including clinical procedures administrative duties and patient care.
• Develop and update course materials lesson plans and instructional activities.
• Ensure students gain practical experience with medical equipment taking vitals performing injections and assisting with minor procedures.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment encouraging student participation and engagement.
• Maintain an organized clean and safe classroom and lab environment.

• Assess and evaluate student performance through quizzes exams practical skills assessments and projects.
• Provide constructive feedback and individualized support to help students succeed.
• Monitor student attendance and academic progress identifying and addressing areas for improvement.
• Offer career advice and guidance on professional development including resume building and interview preparation.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards trends and certification requirements for Medical Assistants.
• Collaborate with the Program Director to ensure curriculum aligns with accreditation standards and meets employer needs.
• Maintain student records and documentation as required by accreditation bodies and institutional policies.
• Participate in faculty meetings continuing education and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or equivalent certification (required).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Previous teaching or training experience in a classroom or healthcare setting (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for teaching.
• Ability to convey complex concepts in a clear engaging manner.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems medical equipment and clinical procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with educational technology and tools including online learning platforms (preferred).

Availability:

• This is an in-person role requiring face-to-face interaction with students located in Arlington and Red Oak TX.
