Job Summary:

Working closely with product and development parters you will leaddesignvisionand coordinate work to support customer centric designexcellenceacross eCommerce product teams.

What You Will Do:

  • Influence product and business strategy through strong stakeholder partnerships at leadership levels shaping priorities roadmaps and investment decisions.

  • Lead design workshops and vision work for business goalsproduct requirementsindustry leadingdesign standards userresearchand insights.

  • Serve as a design authority within the pod structure guiding decisions resolving tradeoffs and ensuring high-quality experience outcomes in complex cross-functional environments.

  • Participate inUX designintakeand work distribution among designersinclusive ofassessingscope complexity andrequireddesign investmentand considering capacityskillsetand domain alignment

  • Contribute to journey mappingcomponentlibrarygovernanceand other foundational experience artifacts.

  • Run design reviews and critiques to evolve andvalidatethat proposed design solutions align withvision requirementsexistingarchitectureand established design systems.

  • Develop designer capability through coaching modeling and feedback increasing the maturity autonomy and strategic impact of pod designers.

  • Coordinate across designers toanticipateandidentifyimpacts from upcoming releases or parallel workstreams.

  • Track QA builds toidentifyand flag fidelity risks early partnering with engineering to resolve issues.

  • Synthesize signals across research delivery feedback and performance metrics toidentifyemerging risks opportunities and strategic shifts.

  • Contribute to the evolution of UX operating models systems and practices that enable scalable high-quality design delivery.

  • Leads agile processes toassesend-user feedback andvalidatedesigns.

  • Directspilot testing and iterates prototypes based on evaluation results.

  • Consults on complex scenarios andoptimizesorganizational strategies.

UX/UIDesign

  • Ability to design intuitiveeffective eCommerce experiences.

Level Extensive Experience:

  • Advises onmental models andcompetitive approaches.

  • Coachesothers on evaluating design effectiveness and contextual analysis.

  • Develops prototypesuser journeys anddesign deliverables.

  • Delivers high-quality UI design solutions balancing visual and functional excellence

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
