Position Title:Summer Intern Finance Accounting or Tax
Location:Dallas TX; Austin TX; Boston MA
Your role
We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join Digital Realtys Finance Accounting or Tax teams for the summer (10 weeks). In this role you will support one of these teams and contribute to meaningful hands-on work that supports the companys financial reporting compliance planning and decision-making activities within a global organization.
Digital Realtys Finance Accounting and Tax functions play a critical role in supporting financial reporting and compliance requirements strategic planning capital structure and financing activities and the delivery of timely accurate insights that inform business decisions across the enterprise.
What Youll Do
Responsibilities will vary based on your assigned team and area of focus. You will support one of Digital Realtys Finance Accounting or Tax teams and contribute to meaningful hands-on work aligned to your discipline.
Finance
- Support monthly financial reporting budgeting forecasting and variance analysis
- Assist with preparation of quarterly board materials and earnings support documentation
- Support financial statement analysis KPI reporting and business performance insights
- Assist with capital planning financing analysis and transaction-related projects
Accounting
- Support the monthly and quarterly close process including reconciliations schedules and supporting documentation
- Assist with financial statement preparation and internal reporting in accordance with company policies and GAAP
- Support accounting processes and internal controls including documentation and review of supporting schedules
- Participate in audit preparation activities and respond to information requests under supervision
Tax
- Support tax reporting compliance and provision-related activities including preparation or review of supporting workpapers
- Assist with tax-related research and documentation including understanding how tax laws and regulations apply to the business
- Support analysis of tax considerations related to transactions and operations across multiple jurisdictions
- Assist with quarterly close activities and SEC-related tax documentation
What youll need
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance Accounting Tax or a related field
- For Accounting or Tax-focused roles: intent to be CPA-eligible upon degree completion is preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office especially Excel Word and Outlook
- Ability to read and understand basic financial statements (income statement balance sheet trial balance)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Curiosity initiative and comfort working in a dynamic environment
- Willingness to seek guidance ask questions and incorporate feedback
