A growing and innovative engineering firm is looking to add a Traffic Engineering Project Manager for their Indianapolis team!
Responsibilities:
- Manage traffic studies and transportation planning efforts
- Manages traffic design projects or tasks within larger transportation projects
- Traffic Study tasks including design calculations specifications quantities and construction cost estimates
- All Traffic project tasks including manage perform and coordinate the project budget schedule project communication and documentation
- Mentor/train junior staff
- Primary client liaison to bring the schedule budget and scope of work to completion and to the clients satisfaction
- Perform internal quality control to ensure studies designs plans and calculations are complete and accurate through all phases of the project
- Assist with business development activities including the creation of letters of response and technical proposals/presentations
- Deliver quality traffic projects on time within budget and to the satisfaction of the client
Requirements
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an ABET accredited college or university with an emphasis on traffic.
- 5 years of experience working on a wide variety of traffic engineering projects
- PE License in Indiana with the ability to obtain additional P.E. licenses in other states through reciprocity
- A Professional Transportation Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification
- Familiar with traffic study software and resources (Synchro/SimTraffic HCM and HCS Sidra Miovision data collection ITE trip generation highway safety manual crash history analysis and RoadHAT)
- Familiar with design software and resources (AutoCAD MicroStation SignCAD GuideSIGN INDOT design manual and Indianapolis DPW design manual)
Salary is commensurate with experience.
