Hours: 8 hours per day

OVERVIEW:

The Program Assistant supports the College and Career Center by supporting the philosophy utilizing data delivering student-centered competency-based services and managing resources effectively and efficiently.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
  • Complete at least two years of post-secondary study have an associate degree or higher or complete the Paraprofessional assessments in reading math writing reading fluency and demonstrate the ability to work with students.
  • Possess a current Oregon Operators license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles.
  • Ability to assist students in career development and exploration.
  • Be effective at building relationships with students and work collaboratively with families teachers and other adults and/or organizations to support students.
  • Knowledge of and experience with computers and the ability to maintain various databases.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with fellow employees and ability to get along well with students.
  • Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish preferred.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • $16.80-$24.26 per hour. Dependent on approved accepted experience/education.
  • Annual COLA pay increase (as negotiated with Oregon Association of Classified Employees).
  • Annual step pay increase awarded to eligible employees.
  • 6 paid holidays per year.
  • 2 personal days per year.
  • 10 paid sick leave days per year.
  • Bereavement leave as per bargaining agreement.
  • Continuing Education Funds up to $1200 per year.
  • Up to $1576 per month district-paid contribution toward full-family medical dental and vision insurance.
  • $4402 per year insurance opt-out stipend for employees who demonstrate other health insurance coverage under a qualifying employer sponsored group medical plan (more than 6-hour employees) $3961.80 (46-hour employees).
  • 6% employee paid contribution towards Oregon Public Employees Retirement System.
  • Longevity Service Stipend after 10 years of employment ($1000-$1600).
