Job Overview:
The Intake Coordinator is responsible for accepting the referral facilitating the initial demographic clinical and insurance screening process and scheduling intake appointments for individuals referred to The Center for Autism. The Intake Coordinator manages communications and maintains good rapport with existing referral sources.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary contact person for referrals to the Center for Autism.
- Collect initial demographic and clinical information to define potential clients needs and enter information into the client management system.
- Conduct preliminary clinical screening for autism.
- Gather all intake forms when required (e. g. information sheets release of information consents policy statements) to provide a complete chart for the initiation of services.
- Schedule the initial appointment.
- Verify eligibility for public and/or private insurance and collect all required information to ensure payment to the Center for services provided.
- Perform liability determination when appropriate.
- Ensure all documentation is completed and up to date before the appointment.
- Maintain clear communications with center clinicians.
- Provide front desk coverage as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Experience:
- 1-3 years of working experience in a behavioral health setting

- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Must be able to handle confidential information and meet deadlines
Education Requirement:
- High School diploma with relevant experience
- Bachelors Degree in a related field
