Job Description
The Supervisor Facilities is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of roads and grounds custodial and maintenance staff ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of roads grounds and building on campus. This role involves coordinating with various teams supervising staff managing budgets and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.Hiring Range is $49084 to $53992
The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidates qualifications and experience.
Essential Functions:
- Core Values: Demonstrate TSTCs core values of Excellence Accountability Service and Integrity in all interactions with stakeholders customers students and community members.
- Supervision and Leadership: Lead and supervise the custodial maintenance and grounds staff providing direction support and performance feedback. Conduct regular team meetings to communicate objectives policies and procedures.
- Operations Management: Plan schedule and oversee routine maintenance repair work for roads grounds and buildings. Ensure the timely completion of custodial tasks maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across college facilities. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of maintenance operations implementing improvements as needed.
- Budget and Resource Management: Assist in the development and management of the department budget ensuring efficient use of resources. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with local state and federal regulations and standards. Promote a culture of safety within the team providing training and resources to support safe work practices.
- Customer Service: Respond promptly to maintenance and custodial requests. Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in facilities management maintenance or a related field.
- Certification in Facilities Management (CFM) or related certification is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance custodial and or groundskeeping practices and procedures.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of building systems landscaping and or custodial practices.
- Ability to plan prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Valid Texas Drivers License and insurability under TSTC Liability Policy.
Working Conditions:
- Exertion: Significant physical effort and strength required daily often involving awkward postures and moderate lifting.
- Exposure: Regular exposure to dust grease noise inclement weather and temperature extremes.
- Risk: Occasional exposure to minor hazards controlled by safety precautions.
