Job Summary

Our client a leading speciality chemical Manufacturing company based in Durban is looking to fill the position of Marketing Co-ordinator.

Purpose of the Role:

The Marketing Coordinator supports the planning and execution of marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Marketing:

  • Manage all marketing for the relevant target market and activities within the marketing department.
  • Develop the marketing strategy for the relevant target market in line with company objectives.
  • Co-ordinate marketing campaigns with sales activities.
  • Creation and publication of all marketing material in line with marketing plans.
  • Manage and improve lead generation campaigns measuring results.
  • Prepare online and print marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications.
  • Create a wide range of different marketing materials.
  • Work closely with design agencies and assist with new product launches.
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant TM and company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives.
  • Analyse potential strategic partner relationships for company marketing.
  • Obtain information from sales representatives customers and other data sourcing agents to compile comprehensive reports regarding product performance and potential opportunities.
  • Source promotional items and pack and distribute to all the relevant branches.

Brand Awareness:

  • Plan and implement promotional campaigns.
  • Assist with and improve product packaging with regards to promotional marketing.
  • Design develop and update marketing material such as brochures flyers web pages merchandising as and when required.
  • Upload relevant reports press releases and newsworthy items on a regular basis.
  • Work with sales representatives to create project references and press releases.
  • Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity.
  • Plan customer functions trade events and golf days.

Reports:

  • Contribute to company magazine that is distributed on a quarterly basis.
  • Ensure external surveys are conducted and the reports sent to the relevant manager.
  • Ensure action plan by the relevant manager is kept updated and feedback given on a regular basis.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Grade 12 Senior Certificate / Matric
  • NQF 4 Qualification
  • Tertiary Sales or Marketing qualification
  • 5-10 years Marketing Experience
  • Experience in promoting brand awareness
  • Computer skills
  • Customer service experience

Special Requirements / Competencies:

  • Regular and on time attendance
  • Will be required to work overtime
  • Overseas travel may be required
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen
  • Good communication Skills
  • Agile project delivery and change management
  • Understanding marketing campaign cycles and how distribution timing impacts ROI.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Accuracy in their numerical abilities
  • Knowledge of digital marketing tools CRM CMS and analytics platforms
  • Able to manage multiple projects timelines and stakeholders under tight deadlines
  • Proactive collaborative and resourceful with very strong attention to detail
