Golf Course Equipment Manager
The Golf Course Equipment Manager is responsible for the maintenance repair and overall management of all equipment used in golf course operations. This role includes conducting regular inspections performing preventative maintenance and ensuring all machinery is safe and efficient for daily use. The Equipment Manager will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent to coordinate equipment needs meeting the expectations set by the Golf Course Superintendent. Strong mechanical skills attention to detail cleanliness and knowledge of turf management practices are essential for success in this position.
Job Description:
Performs troubleshooting repair and maintenance of equipment including mowing equipment tractors power tools hand tools golf carts and related golf equipment.
Maintains a preventative maintenance program on all equipment purchases repair parts and replacement supplies.
Places orders for parts/supplies as needed for equipment or service and tracks expenses and inventories for budget.
Train all employees in proper operation and maintenance of machinery/vehicles.
Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
Perform other duties as assigned by Golf Course Superintendent.
Qualifying Skills:
Prior experience as a successful Equipment Manager Head Mechanic or Assistant Mechanic in a golf course setting.
Advanced understanding for golf course maintenance equipment repair and diagnostics specifically Toro John Deere Club Car and Cushman.
General understanding of all types of engines hydraulics pumps electronics etc.
Ability to weld fabricate.
Thorough experience using reel and bed-knife grinders.
General knowledge using computers Microsoft Excel Outlook and Word.
Keeps accurate complete and timely records of repair work performed.
Maintain a clean shop and safe working area.
Ability to work some weekends and holidays as required.
Valid Drivers License is required.
