First Academy is a growing Christian school in Rogers Arkansas. Housed within First Baptist Rogers FA is open to PK3-7th grade students with plans to continue to expand our upper school in forthcoming years.
We are currently accepting applications for a part-time librarian for the 2026-2027 school year.
Part-time librarian position up to 20 hours per week following school calendar with hourly pay.
Education and Certification
- Bachelors Degree
- License preferred
- Experience in classroom teaching role preferred
Personal Qualities
- Credible profession of repentance and faith in Jesus Christ
- Godly character (pastoral and other character references may be required)
- Active membership at First Baptist Rogers
- Self-educator and lifetime learner and coachable
- Aligned to the schools mission and values
- Maturity and emotional stability
- Display to students genuine love for God Scripture and learning
Pray for students daily
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in developing school policies for acceptable appropriate books fitting within our Biblical worldview
- Assist teachers in literacy and book studies in their classrooms
- Lead or support library classes read-alouds and literacy activities as scheduled
- Manage and maintain the school library collection (organization labeling shelving and inventory)
- Supervise book check out/return procedures
- Assist in schoolwide AR programs and book fairs
- Support students in finding books and developing a love of reading
- Curate and refresh library and media items to continue to provide positive learning for students
Respects the confidentiality of students families and colleagues by using the highest degree of discretion in communication
Complete other essential tasks as assigned by school administration as needed
Contributes to a cooperative and collegial atmosphere among teachers and staff
Participates in training and other meetings and initiatives
Respects and upholds school policies and standards delineated in faculty policies student handbooks and in faculty training
FollowsMatthew 18:15-17model for handling conflicts
Maintains licensure and trainings
