The Purpose:
We are seeking a dynamic Account Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience or strong interest in trade shows and event planning along with exceptional project management experience event coordination operation and business development skills.
The Job:
Event Management:
- Ensure seamless coordination from conceptualization to post-event/trade show completion. Including all aspects of planning and execution.
- Cross-functional teaming with both clients and internal teams to manage daily operations and tasks with a high-level of efficiency and attention to detail.
- Manage logistics including in-line booths and/or island configurations and ownership of the estimating billing graphics productions show services and shipping components.
- Assist in creating project change orders ensuring cost related approvals documented and communicated with relevant stakeholders.
Project Management:
- Consistent communication with internal and external clients. On average managing 2-15 shows per month with the ability to provide timely updates and proactive follow-up and/or actionable solutions.
- Monitor develop analyze and report on progress of all event/project specifics. Identifying and addressing potential issues proactively with flexibility to adapt to changes as they arise.
- Awareness of target profit margins evaluated per project and annually.
Client Engagement:
- Cultivate and manage relationships with clients and internal teams ensuring objectives align with the goals of the event/trade show.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external clients ensuring a positive and professional experience.
- Manage client specific billing procedures and AP/Procurement procedures to resolve payment of invoices timely.
- Regularly interface with internal stakeholders to understand business objectives leverage appropriate tools/software and ensure events are aligned to achieve business objectives.
The Person:
- Bachelors degree in marketing Business Communications or a related field preferred but relevant
experience will also be considered. - 2-4 years of experience in event/account management or client-facing roles that require a strong focus on
delivering results - Passionate about working with people ability to quickly develop a rapport with clients.
- Pro-active self-starter entrepreneurial and creative solutions-oriented
- Adaptable open-minded and receptive to feedback and able to adjust in real-time.
- Comfort in new environments and scenarios willingness to travel.
- Collaborative comfortable presenting and receiving information in a group setting.
- Respectful thoughtful courteous and able to maintain a professional demeanor under pressure.
- Organized articulate detail-oriented and an effective communicator.
- Technologically savvy comfortable using a wide variety of programs software and applications.
