What are we looking for

The Laboratory Manager is responsible for Quality Management Health Safety and Environmental Compliance Legal and Ethical Compliance and Training.

Shift/Schedule: 8 am to 5 pm Daily Mon Thru Fri with occasional OT

What youll do:

• Render to clients an accurate rapid and efficient testing service of indisputable integrity
• Provide adequate supervision of testing and review of results
• Ensure that adequate calibrated equipment and trained personnel are available for all jobs
• Perform Laboratory employee performance maintains discipline and recommends hiring and dismissal
• Seek new business
• Be a positive company representative to clients
• Set a positive example for all employees through your professional behavior and foster a professional atmosphere
• Carry out all responsibilities in a supportive manner with adherence to the Companys Safety Policy and Procedures Quality Management System Ethics Policy Environmental Management System Vision and Strategy
• Exercise good judgement common sense and diplomacy in the lab and with managing the team

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong Leadership skills
• Ability to lead and motivate employees to actively support the objectives of the laboratory
• Organized with time management skills
• Experience in handling chemical and petroleum products
• Protocol procedure and safety oriented
• Understand the significance of the data generated by test methods
• Valid Drivers License with reliable driving record is required

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of relevant experience in the petroleum industry
• Current and valid passport is a plus!
