It specialises in designing and building systems intended for use in edge environments where communications situational awareness and resilience must be maintained despite limited connectivity.

Rowden designs builds and deploys edge systems end-to-end bringing together mission systems engineering manufacture of sensing capabilities and the infrastructure required to network provision and manage large fleets of devices at scale. Now one of the fastest growing technology companies in the UK Rowden employs more than 140 people operates over 20000 square feet of facilities and exports its products globally.

Business Operations Graduates at Rowden

At Rowden were scaling fast: launching new products expanding into new geographies and delivering mission-critical technology to customers who operate in demanding environments. To keep pace were looking for driven graduates who thrive in ambiguity learn quickly and want to help build the systems that enable an engineering company to scale.

As part of the Applied Business Operations Graduate Programme youll work on high-impact cross-cutting initiatives that dont come with a clear playbook. Youll work collaboratively across the business to collate data points develop a plan and execute.

You wont be doing this alone. Youll work closely with experienced leaders at Rowden learning fast and building the judgement and delivery mindset needed to operate at pace in a mission-led environment.

The application window for the Business Operations Graduate Programme will formally open in Summer 2026 but we are accepting early interest now for those people that would like to submit their details to us. We will acknowledge all early applications but will not start reviewing candidates until we officially go live with the role in June.

Types of work youll be involved with at Rowden

As a Business Operations Graduate youll work across engineering product delivery and commercial teams to support the systems and execution that enable Rowden to scale.

Examples of work include:
  • Supporting the launch of new products and capabilities by building the operational plans coordination and delivery rhythm required to execute.
  • Designing repeatable processes that allow teams to scale without losing speed clarity or accountability.
  • Working across engineering product and commercial teams to identify bottlenecks and drive execution against priorities.
  • Pressure-testing expansion into new markets and mission sets.

How the Business Operations Graduate Programme works


You will complete several rotations across Rowdens core business functions before specialising. The exact path is not rigid. We will shape it around your strengths interests and the needs of the company.

Possible rotations include:
  • Product Marketing: supporting product development prioritisation launch planning and cross-team coordination.
  • Project Management / Delivery Operations: improving how complex programmes are executed and sustained.
  • Revenue Operations: supporting commercial execution pipeline systems customer engagement processes and growth discipline.
  • Strategy & Special Projects: working directly on high-impact initiatives tied to scaling the business.

Key skills experience and behaviours


What were looking for

We are looking for graduates with high drive and learning velocity.

You might be a strong fit if you have:
  • A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as Engineering Economics Mathematics Foreign Languages Philosophy or Business.
  • Strong analytical ability including comfort with data modelling scenarios and structured problem solving.
  • Learning agility and curiosity with the ability to move quickly across unfamiliar domains.
  • A bias toward execution with evidence that you can deliver outcomes not just ideas.
  • Confidence working with diverse stakeholders from engineers to external partners.
  • Interest in national security defence or mission-critical technology environments.
This is a role for people who want their career directed toward work that is demanding fast-moving and purposeful.
