This position will function as the Emergency Planning/ Exercise Coordinator for the Partner Integration Section within the Bureau of Operational Readiness and Response. The person will develop update and maintain ADHS public health preparedness plans and develop and execute exercises to test those plans. The person will coordinate with federal county state and tribal officials on preparedness plans review and updates and maintain documentation. This will include ensuring that appropriate plans are proofed reviewed approved and integrated into agency plans and the Arizona State Emergency Response and Recovery Plan (SERRP) ensuring that all plans are consistent with the National Incident Management System (NIMS). The person will be responsible for documenting and submitting Federal and State preparedness and emergency management annual reports (e.g. Emergency Management Accreditation Program (EMAP) Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) National Incident Management System Compliance Assistance Support Tool (NIMSCAST) and Operational Readiness Review (ORR)).

Plan design develop documentation execute evaluate and prepare after-action reports for public health preparedness activities. Maintain an individual work plan to support section goals and objectives tracking monitoring and briefing on calendar events and activities to maintain situational awareness of internal and external partners emergency preparedness planning activities.
Review and analyze county and tribal partners capability planning guide (CPG) data for gaps requiring future drills/exercises. Facilitate and administer Corrective Action Work-Plan (CAWP) report/assessment/and follow-up activities. Conduct annual assessments of After Action Reports to ensure continuous improvement.
Report on drill/exercise outcomes providing valuable insights and recommendations. during project updates and efficiently distribute them to supervisors and planning teams. Maintain comprehensive documentation of exercise planning events and activities for reference.
Demonstrate a proficient understanding of grant-defined disaster drill and exercise requirements preparedness capability definitions performance measures and Integrated Preparedness Plan (IPP) activities. Align annual work-plan activities to effectively meet section goals and exercise program requirements following the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) methodology.
Responsible for the assignment and collection of the Federal and State preparedness and emergency management annual reports (e.g. Emergency Management Accreditation Program (EMAP) Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) National Incident Management System Compliance Assistance Support Tool (NIMSCAST) and Operational Readiness Review (ORR).
Maintain the preparedness website IPP ensuring that information is up to date and accessible to stakeholders. Organize and facilitate ADHS hosted events by providing logistical support and being present on-site to assist with any necessary arrangements.
Attention to detail and organizational skills contribute to the seamless execution of events ensuring their success and effectiveness in advancing the departments preparedness initiatives.
Collaborate closely with Emergency Preparedness Planning Coordinators to assist in the development of plans that enhance preparedness capabilities. Additionally fulfill support roles as assigned by the Supervisor BPHEP Bureau Chief or Incident Manager within the State Health Emergency Operations Center.
Provide assistance with grant submissions updates on grant progress reporting for the exercise program and documentation support and evaluation within the Health Emergency Operations Center.
