Position Overview

Four Inc. is seeking an Associate Solutions Architect Intern to support technical and operational initiatives across the organization. This internship is designed to provide hands-on exposure to solution architecture cloud and infrastructure concepts and customer-focused technical work.

This role follows a hybrid work schedule with three in-office days per week at Four Inc.s headquarters in Herndon Virginia and two remote workdays.

Essential Functions

• Participate in a structured training and mentorship program to develop foundational knowledge in cloud infrastructure and solution architecture
• Learn how to evaluate customer or internal technical requirements and assist in shaping appropriate solution approaches
• Provide support during solution design discussions and customer-facing engagements
• Contribute to a hands-on technical project applying architectural concepts and industry best practices
• Develop written and verbal communication skills by presenting technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelors or Masters degree program in Computer Science Engineering Information Systems or a related technical field
• Experience with at least one modern programming language (e.g. Python Java C JavaScript)
• Foundational knowledge of IT systems software development or infrastructure and architecture concepts
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications:

• Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies in a fast-moving environment
• Exposure to networking security storage databases or operating systems through coursework labs internships or personal projects
• Experience with technical projects internships or lab environments is a plus

Physical Requirements:

The work is generally sedentary and performed in an office or remote setting; however some travel to government or partner sites may be required. The position may require:

• Visual acuity to view computer screens read technical documents and perform data analysis and data entry
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard mouse and other office equipment
• Occasional lifting or carrying of equipment boxes or documents (typically under 40 lbs)
• Ability to hear and speak clearly in virtual and in-person meetings
