Join Our Team at DCFS: Administrative Assistant 1-4
The incumbent of this position serves as a personal and confidential assistant to the Director of the Administrative Training and Safety Services (ATSS) section of the Division of Management and Finance and provides administrative and secretarial support to the Director Managers and subordinate personnel.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Develops and maintains a broad knowledge of policies and procedures and provides assistance to the Director.
- Monitors and maintains the directors schedule.
- Answers the section main telephone lines.
- Tracks and monitors the status of projects to ensure completed timely.
- Schedules meeting and interviews.
- Prepares and processes travel authorizations.
- Process purchase orders.
- Reconciles reports.
- Serves as section timekeeper.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Thisposition may be filled as a probational appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probational appointments. Also it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months or by promotion of a permanent classified employee.
Career Progression: This vacancy may be filled as anAdministrative Assistant 1-4depending on the selected applicants experience.
Work Schedule: Typically work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday Friday. Flexible work schedules are available after meeting certain criteria and is dependent upon the position you are applying for. Some positions require working shifts.
