Room Leader (Level 3) 30500 Full-Time
Youll be leading one of the fun and exciting rooms working alongside the children and practitioners. The role involves planning staffing ratios and room organisation with the expectation that you will step in to cover practice when needed. The nursery uses indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the day so youll be moving between areas and adjusting the rooms pace based on childrens needs and attendance.
Before You Apply

What Youll Need
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
- Recent experience as a Room Leader or senior practitioner in a nursery
- Strong knowledge of EYFS and child development
- Confidence managing staff and leading room practice
- Clear understanding of safeguarding and welfare requirements
What Youll Do
- Lead the rooms daily delivery of the EYFS and ensure consistent practice
- Manage staff deployment ratios and room organisation
- Plan and oversee activities observations and learning records
- Maintain safeguarding health and safety and welfare standards
- Communicate with parents regarding childrens progress and daily care
- Support the nursery manager with room-based quality improvement
