About the Role
We are looking for an Application Support Engineer to provide Level 2 support for business-critical (Tier 1) e-commerce applications. This role offers exposure to high-availability systems incident and problem management and close collaboration with development and business teams.
You will be part of a dynamic environment where operational support continuous improvement and project work go hand in handideal for professionals who enjoy responsibility variety and real business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 application support to internal users
- Resolve end-user queries including data issues and system feeds ensuring timely processing
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive solutions
- Manage changes: plan test and release functional fixes
- Maintain enhance and monitor business processes
- Handle Incident and Problem Management documenting solutions to recurring issues
- Support overnight batch processing including end-of-day revaluations and market risk scenario analysis
Main Tasks
- Deliver high-quality support in a timely and efficient manner
- Act as a bridge between business users and development teams
- Track issues using ITIL methodologies (incidents problems changes requests)
- Maintain and evolve a knowledge base of known issues and resolutions
- Reconfigure existing setups to improve system efficiency and meet business needs
- Prepare environments for releases ensuring successful pre-production testing
- Operate with flexibility in a Tier 1 / business-critical environment
Technical Skills
- Linux / UNIX & Windows Systems Expert
- Monitoring & Scheduling Tools Dynatrace $Universe / Univiewer or similar
- Databases SQL / Oracle
- Scripting Python and other scripting languages
Soft Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
- Proactive mindset and sense of ownership
- Ability to work under pressure in mission-critical environments
