Job Summary
Director of Pharmacy - Full-Time
Location: Morgantown WV
Specialty Medical Staffing is currently recruiting for a Director of Pharmacy for a prestigious hospital in the Morgantown WV area. This is a full-time leadership role within a tight-knit pharmacy team.
This DOP role is accountable for the clinical oversight operational performance staff leadership and regulatory compliance of the pharmacy department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directing daily pharmacy operations and medication distribution activities
- Maintaining compliance with federal state and accreditation standards
- Overseeing medication safety initiatives and quality improvement efforts
- Supporting onboarding training and professional development of pharmacy staff
- Participating in medication therapy oversight and utilization review
- Developing and maintaining clinically focused pharmacy services
Requirements:
- Active West Virginia Pharmacist license
- Minimum 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience
- Experience ensuring compliance with Joint Commission CMS and regulatory standards
