JOB TITLE: Group Finance Controller Group Controlling (GPM)
REPORTING TO (ROLE): Lead FP&A & Controlling (Group Controlling)
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: Support the AXA Group controlling team in preparation of the management reporting and business analysis for the Group budget forecast and Strategic plan. This also includes the monthly business review to the Group along with ad-hoc strategic or additional analysis. Ensure the files analysis created for strategic reporting processes are completed in an accurate consistent timely manner and in accordance with group standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The key responsibilities of this role are to: Coordinate and implement the financial and management reporting processes which includes Group Monthly Dashboard Clearance packs check Forecast exercises Strat Plan exercise Budget review and ad-hoc requests to support Group top management needs:
- Controlling and processing the financial information from Group tools like Magnitude and IRIS into usable formats and able to do 1st level of analysis.
- Good understanding of Financial Planning & Analysis financial statement analysis to support reporting process and strategic analysis.
- Process good knowledge of Insurance KPIs and be part of team in support for the variance analysis.
- Prepare the consolidated group back-ups in a timely and clear manner
- Work closely with the manager to support the On-shore team to ensure all management and performance results reporting are consistent with financial reporting
- Contribute in the preparation for clearance meetings with local manager to understand the business performance and resolve issues as needed in an efficient manner
- Regular documentation of the data/details for audit purpose
- Excellent problem-solving skills both qualitative and quantitative
- Support the delivery of training to enhance Local Entity capabilities around financial management and performance reporting disciplines including performance driver concepts reporting process & technology and key performance indicators used across the AXA Group
KEY CUSTOMERS:
- Onshore: Group CFO GPM team including Group Controlling Head Area-Managers
- Local: Manager
Experience/Qualification
- Degree in Accounting Finance or Business discipline.
- CA CPA or MBA
- 3 to 6 years post-experience in Finance industry good if it is from Insurance industry
- Knowledge of performance drivers and measurement within general insurance business
- Good understanding of financial processes and operation
- Knowledge of IFRS
Skills
- Good communication skills with good command of spoken and written English
- Team player with excellent project management skills and good experience in monitoring analysis and reporting performance
- Self-motivated and strong analytical mind well-organized rigorous and attention to details
- Capable of effectively handling multiple priorities under time and delivery pressures in a changing business environment Good business sense and presentation skills
- Demonstrated experiences in engaging and working with senior management in a high standard environment
- Proficient in the use of Power BI (must have at beginner level) Excel (advance/expert level) and PowerPoin
