THE ROLE

TheSeniorDirector Regional Human Resources (Sr HRD)isa key strategic partner to both thefieldveterinary teams as well as the broader HR team.This role isresponsible forbringing to lifeHR &organizational strategies programs and protocolthat supporttheveterinarypractices.TheSr HRDis engaged in allpeople & org initiatives developmentprograms HR data analytics health and safety labor compliance and execution of strategicplanswithin the region.

In working within a multi-site multi-state organization theSr HRDwill closely partner with theregional leadership teamto help define long-term regionalstrategyandidentifyways to support strategies through talent management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provides strategicHRleadershipto regional andfieldsteams this includes day to daycoachingtalent assessment& talent managementanddesigning & executinglong-rangeregionalpeopleplans.

  • Understands andleveragesorganizational trendsand market insightsincludingtalent planning org design and turnover management to ensure proactive talent management in the region.

  • Identifieskey performance indicatorsand prioritizes workto delivertheorganizations human resource and talent managementaction plans;this can include but is not limited to engagement results turnover managementtalent assessmentand overallcultureindex.

  • Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with federal stateand local employment laws andregulations and recommended best practices; reviews andrecommends modifications topolicies and practices tomaintaincompliance.

  • Provides guidance and leadership to the human resource management team;assistswith resolution of humanresource compensation and benefits questions concerns and issues.

  • Maintains knowledge of laws regulations and best practices in employment law human resources and talent management.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelorsdegree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field.

  • At least ten years of human resource management experience with strategic talent management and/or business development experience highly preferred.

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCPpreferred.

The physical requirements of this position are:

  • Office work and standing and walking during practice visits.

Travel

  • This role will require up to50% domestic overnight travel.

Salary

  • Compensation for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidates experience and qualifications with a range typically around $140000-$155000 with bonus potential.
