Job Summary
Job Title : Assistant Engineering Manager
Experience : 10-15 Years
Location : Navi Mumbai
Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan and execute certification and compliance activities for UAS across civil and defense domains.
- Manage Type Certification processes and ensure adherence to national and international aviation regulations.
- Study tender documents regulatory schemes drone rules and compliance standards to define testing and certification requirements.
- Work closely with internal teams such as Product Design V&V Software Electronics Prototype and Production.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders including certification bodies regulators and third-party test laboratories.
- Prepare manage and maintain certification roadmaps documentation audits and Statements of Compliance (SoC).
- Track regulatory updates and analyze global regulations to define compliance strategies and roadmaps.
- Plan and conduct internal compliance audits identify risks and implement mitigation actions.
- Manage certification budgets and support team performance management activities.
Requisites
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong understanding of UAS certification processes and regulatory frameworks (national and international).
- Hands-on exposure to product testing certification and audit activities.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent documentation communication and presentation abilities.
- Solid engineering fundamentals in aeronautics mechanics and electronics.
- Strong project management risk assessment and decision-making skills.
- Willingness to travel and work with external agencies when required.
