Position Summary
Under supervision of Box Office Manager the Box Office Attendant is responsible for ticket sales and customer service for all ticketed events at the Rio Rancho Events Center.
This role pays an hourly rate of $13.50-$16.50

This position will remain open until April 24 2026.
About the Venue
The Rio Rancho Events Center (RREC) located in Rio Rancho New Mexico. The RREC leads the field among venues in New Mexico and is home to the New Mexico Goatheads Hockey team. With 165000 square feet of extended floor space the Rio Rancho Events Center is ideal to host concerts sporting events family shows conferences banquets and cultural programs. The arena features a single concourse and has 27 suites and 4 party suites as well as a large club lounge for dinners and parties.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes Ticketmaster software to process ticket sales
- Familiarize yourself with each event (ticket prices discounts restrictions reserved or general admission seating etc.)
- Know and understand seating charts and configurations of the RREC
- Communicate and satisfy patrons with world class customer service
- Provides information to patrons regarding performances and ticket policies
- Operate phone and address calls in patrons requests for information
- Projects professional appearance and manner
- Perform transactions for all events on the ticketing system with efficiency and accuracy
- Collect proper currency or credit card amount for purchase of ticket(s) as well as give back proper number of tickets and correct change
- Assists in the enforcement of building policies for patrons
- Reconcile all monies received from ticket sales
- Maintains accuracy in financial transactions
- Accountable for transactions at his/her work
- Maintain confidentiality
- Additional duties may be assigned by Box Office Manager or Box Office Supervisor
Qualifications
- Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
- Familiarity with Windows based computers
- Possess excellent customer service skills
- Experience working with the public and cash
- Ability to work independently and as a productive member of a team
- Capable of working a flexible schedule and extended hours including but not limited to working early mornings nights weekends and holidays in addition to traditional business hours
- Must be able to work in a loud noise environment
- Must be over 18 years or older
- Strong verbal communication skillsin the English language (Spanish is a plus)
- Proven ability to work well with all levels of management
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
