Job Overview
To lead and deliver large-scale enterprise application and product development programs by driving end-to-end software delivery excellence across multiple concurrent projects. The role is responsible for defining technology roadmaps governing project execution managing high-performing engineering teams and ensuring on-time on-budget and high-quality outcomes.
The Software Delivery Manager will own solution architecture delivery governance risk management and continuous improvement while embedding AI and automation across the SDLC to enhance productivity and competitiveness. This position also acts as a key client-facing leader collaborating with presales architects and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable digital solutions and to build long-term customer relationships while developing team capability and operational maturity across the delivery organization.
Qualifications and Skills
- 15 Years of industry experience with 5 years in software development and architecting products
- Comprehensive knowledge of concepts principles practices and procedures in software development including the complete SDLC process.
- Strong experience in project estimation planning agile development & delivery
- Good knowledge of design patterns SOA event driven architecture and REST services.
- Experience on usage of AI for greenfield and brownfield projects to improve team productivity.
- Experienced in hands-on application development preferably (including BPM & React technology stacks).
- Experience in managing large and complex fixed bid projects.
- Experience in managing technical competencies and performance of team members.
- Should have working knowledge on DevOps microservices & containerization.
- Must have experience establishing process and guidelines to ensure meeting the SLA/Acceptance criteria for the program.
- Strong experience of meeting of various Program/Project metrics.
- Excellent customer and various other stakeholders management skills.
- Must have experience in scheduling for a large project with MPP or similar kind of tool.
- Experience in leading migration/transition activities for enterprise level application.
- Experience of heading software development teams of 50 people
- Experience of managing multiple concurrent projects.
- Has been involved in developing an enterprise level application
- Good Understanding of API layer and middle layer implementation
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Drive multiple application software projects and product development programs in parallel with the team.
- Prioritize with the team on product backlogs and define the technology roadmap for our products to cater to market needs.
- Plan and govern client projects delivery with the team to ensure on time budget and quality delivery.
- Work with delivery leadership on continuous improvement of processes and methodologies to improve productivity and performance of the team.
- Incorporate AI and automation across the software delivery lifecycle to improve productivity and competitiveness.
- Continuous RCA using scientific methodologies to arrive at action items leading to continuous improvement within all aspects of the project/program.
- Take full ownership of projects/products from development to production.
- Lead estimations scope definition and solution design & architecture by collaborating with the presales architects and internal delivery teams on new client requirements or product backlogs.
- Evaluate risk and mitigation across programs with effective governance.
- Lead and manage teams of engineers across development UI/UX and release management.
- Maintain an ongoing awareness of emerging developments and trends in technology that could impact current projects and influence new projects.
- Develop and manage team talent and performance.
- Engage with clients and vendors and manage relationships effectively.
