Aboutthe Role
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join a GlobalMarkets data team delivering high-value data analytics and insights directlyto the Front team builds a robust and scalable data platform integrating multiple datasources and producing dashboards reports APIs and intelligent data productsin an agile and fast-paced environment.
You will work closely with business sponsors salesteams and traders transforming business needs into efficient data pipelinesand analytics solutions using Python SQL and modern visualization tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and analyze large volumes of data from internal sources
- Design develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL workflows
- Act as a key point of contact for business stakeholders understanding and translating their needs
- Ensure data architecture meets business performance and scalability requirements
- Optimize data processes to deliver high-quality reliable and actionable data
- Continuously recommend improvements to maximize data value and efficiency
Technical Requirements
- Academic background in Computer Science Engineering or related fields
- Hands-on experience with Python (especially Pandas)
- Strong experience with SQL and ETL processes
- Experience optimizing data processing performance (efficient queries memory management)
- Professional experience in Data Engineering and/or Data Analysis
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Familiarity with Git (preferably Bitbucket)
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins)
- Interest or knowledge in financial markets is a strong plus
